Navigating the 2024 election is undeniably challenging for us all, both within our workplaces and personally. The recent assassination attempt on former President Trump sent shockwaves through our companies and communities, highlighting the urgency of addressing political violence. This incident, along with other violent attacks and threats rising from the divisiveness and erosion of civil society, underscores the need for action.

In these tumultuous times, some CSR leaders will guide decisions for their companies and workforce, some will influence without decision-making authority, and others will support employees and partner nonprofits. As a community of leaders, it's essential that we process these challenges and encourage a return to civil discourse within our respective roles and responsibilities..

Our next Executive Networking session will provide a safe space for senior leaders to engage in an authentic, supportive discussion about corporate responsibility’s role in and tactics for:

• Encouraging voting

• Promoting a civil work environment

• Denouncing political violence

None of us have all the answers, but together, we can share ideas, strategies, and support for one another as we navigate the growing tension.
