ACCP welcomes Loren Previti, CAF America’s Assistant Vice President of Donor Services, to present an educational webcast. This free webcast is open to both members and nonmembers, will be available with closed captioning and a follow up transcript, and will be recorded.

International disaster and crisis grantmaking grows more relevant with each passing month. The onslaught of wildfires, hurricanes, floods, conflicts, and of course the COVID-19 pandemic have proven corporate philanthropic giving more important than ever before. And the emergencies do not seem to be abating: The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Report released in August this year predicts that extreme weather events will only grow more frequent.

The impacts of climate change and other crises reach across borders to harm communities around the world. This webinar will introduce new insights to guide corporate grantmakers as they craft an international philanthropic response to disasters and crises both within and outside the United States.

The webcast will explore the following topics:

  • Identifying communities of interest that align with your global disaster and crisis grantmaking strategy
  • Engaging your employees in your company’s disaster and crisis grantmaking
  • Building an effective grantmaking strategy before disasters strike
  • The importance of charity community resilience, and how to design effective strategies for resilience in the face of disasters and crises.
